10 Simple Renovations to Help Your Home Sell at a Higher Price
If you’re going to list your home for sale there are several things you can do to make the home appear new and help improve the sale price to get top dollar.
Fixing holes
Check around for holes and scuffs in your walls that can be filled in with drywall mud, sanded, and eventually painted to make the walls look good as new again.
Painting
Simply going around the house touching up anywhere that could use fresh paint can make the house show better and feel updated. You can give the room an entire coat of fresh paint or simply touch up stains and marks on the walls and ceilings.
Replacing trim
If your trim around the doors, windows, or floors needs replaced, find pre-finished pieces at a local Home Depot or Lowes that you can custom cut and replace broken or heavily scratched trim.
New Flooring
If you have old carpet with odor, stains, or that appears dated in color / design, then consider updating the flooring with new carpet or another flooring material like hardwood, laminate, tile.
